About

Palestine Polytechnic University (PPU)  launches the first Engineering for Palestine Conference, a peer-reviewed conference, to employ engineering and technology in solving problems and addressing engineering and technological challenges that are currently facing Palestine. Accordingly, the conference and its activities are directed to challenging topics ( themes) for which we can propose engineering and technological solutions. Hence, it enhances cooperation and collaboration among the engineering and technology colleges, national and international experts and specialists in various fields, as well as the public sector to achieve the  goals of the conference.

The scientific challenges cover all areas where engineering and technology can be part of the solution in the Palestinian context, such as: energy and renewable energy, water resource management, infrastructure, preserving identity and heritage, industrial development contributing to economic growth, waste recycling contributing to the circular economy, waste management and recycling, transportation, communications, and challenges in engineering education, … etc.

Therefore, this conference brings together a select group of experts, researchers, engineers, and specialists to discuss engineering and scientific developments that contribute to providing possible solutions to the scientific challenges that are  facing Palestine, thus promoting sustainable scientific research can be guaranteed .

The conference also represents an opportunity for possible cooperation, partnership, and interaction between the researchers and the  industrial sector.  This will lead to developing effective and sustainable solutions, through its specialized scientific sessions, advanced workshops, and an exhibition of projects that contribute to the conference's themes.
